Anywhere Map


Beginning as a design firm for consumer and manufacturing vision systems, Control Vision later expanded into the aviation industry under the Anywhere Map banner, developing a host of cutting-edge onboard solutions including traffic avoidance systems, GPS units and approach plate software. Anywhere Map's adoption of XM WX Satellite Weather datalink allowed pilots to display and interact with the WxWorx-provided data stream using its electronic flight bag and handheld devices.

Founded in 1998, Digital Cyclone has established itself as a leader in providing personalized weather intelligence for wireless devices. In January of 2007, Garmin Ltd. (Nasdaq: GRMN) acquired provider Digital Cyclone Inc. in an effort to broaden the LBS product offerings and expands capability in the area of wireless application development, marketing, and distribution. The company is headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota and operates as an independent subsidiary of Garmin Ltd.

Heads Up was founded in 1985, first developing a digital audio checklist system for pilots. Since then, the company has widened its expertise to include information and warning systems for the cockpit and cabin. Founded in 1957, the Aircraft Electronics Association (AEA) represents more than 1,300 aviation businesses, including repair stations that specialize in maintenance, repair and installation of avionics and electronic systems in general aviation aircraft. Since 1948, the Helicopter Association International (HAI) has brought together the leaders of the international helicopter community. National Marine Electronics Association


Founded in 1957, the NMEA has led the way in establishing technical standards for data exchange in marine electronics, with the widely accepted NMEA 0183 data protocol, NMEA 2000® and certification standards for marine electronics technicians. NMEA standards and programs focus on insuring that the boating consumer is provided reliable products and professional service.


National Marine Manufacturers Association


NMMA members, more than 1,400 companies, produce every conceivable product used by recreational boaters. An estimated 80 percent of marine products used in North America are produced by NMMA members. Formed in 1979 in a merger between the Boating Industry Association of Chicago (BIA) and the National Association of Engine & Boat Manufacturers of New York (NAEBM), NMMA is dedicated to creating, promoting and protecting an environment where members can achieve financial success through excellence in manufacturing, in selling, and in servicing their customers.

The World Billfish Series is dedicated to promoting a lifestyle committed to sportsmanship, healthy competition and marine conservation through "The World's Richest Bluewater Fishing Events". The WBS works to promote the virtues of true sportsmanship and global marine conservation as ambassadors of big-game fishing. Comprised of 60+ of billfishing's most prestigious tournaments in eight worldwide divisions, the WBS World Tour is fished by over 30,000 anglers. Anglers earn points at each of these events based on participation, billfish catch and overall tournament finish.
